Congratulations Kevin Burkley on becoming fire fighter of the year. Being a firefighter isn’t just about responding to emergencies. It’s about showing up on people’s worst days and bringing calm, strength, and hope. It’s about long nights, missed holidays, tough calls, teamwork, and the quiet sacrifices most people never see.The Firefighter of the Year is someone who goes above and beyond — not for recognition, but because it’s simply who they are. Someone who leads by example, supports their fellow members, serves the community with pride, and never hesitates when duty calls. This year’s honoree has demonstrated outstanding commitment, professionalism, and compassion. Whether on the fireground, at training, in the community, or supporting the department behind the scenes, they embody the values and spirit of our service. ... See MoreSee Less
